Introduction to Wonderware ArchestrA System Platform
It is now July 2013 and over the next few months I will work extensively on a ArchestrA System Platform application. I will here present some of the problems
and tricks that I found during my work. I start off with this introduction which I borrowed from the Wonderware website to give an idea
of the differences and relationship between the terms. This article will be updated over time and you can come back regularly for new information.
Wonderware System Platform:
Wonderware System Platform provides a single and scalable platform for
all the SCADA, Supervisory HMI, and MES and EMI Software Solutions needs of industrial automation and information personnel.
At the center of the Wonderware System Platform is the "plant model", which is the logical representation of the physical processes
being controlled and supervised. ArchestrA object technology makes configuration, logging, delivery and maintenance of real-time and
historical information point-and-click simple. Within the System Platform is a high-performance process historian with production
